Here’s the original Mercedes fuel filter for the OM615 engine that you will not find in the felt square configuration. It filters out the water better than the new paper round one.
It has nipples of 26mm and 24mm.

Interesting that Bosch made different versions also of the felt as you can see in the photos.

I’m including the rubber seal also which is 1009970040. The completely square filter did not come with the seal.
